Meatballs appetizer was amazing, the hot bread and butter! The penne bolognase was great!!! Defiantly coming back tomorrow can't wait

I was really in the mood for ITALIAN last night and was lucky to found a nice place in the promenade for my craving! The four star rating goes to the staff. Family owned and friendly service is the highlight of this review! We first were greeted by the owner, which is always a nice surprise! She truly convinced us to have our dinner here! Our waiter Derek was so friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu! Definitely ask for him if you go! The rest of the wait staff was equally accommodating and pleasant Now for the food! Bread and butter is my weakness! There is something about salted creamy butter that puts you in a good mood lol! The calamari seafood appetizer was perfectly breaded but the marinara sauce was ok for my taste. I got the bolognese for my meal and my husband got the veal. He alway picks great dishes. Thus, his meal was perfection. My pasta dish was ok. The meat sauce was good but not anything spectacular. The veal and his risotto was wonderfully cooked. Next time I come, I will get the spaghetti and meatballs! Atmosphere reminded me more of Greece than Italy because of the blue and white decor. It was very inviting, but kind of confusing if they makes sense Overall, I would recommend this place for Italian food when you're in the area. Cheers to the staff for being amazingly sweet and pleasant!

Had some pizza and beer here. It was ok, nothing stood out to me. The ambiance was alright, I sat outside and one of the play off games was on but the TV we were at had some weird furniture loop on there. The service was ok, I guess I could have asked for them to switch the channel but I didn't, no big deal. Food quality: Meh... for pizza, I've had better. Beer is beer. Went to WOB right after though.

I stopped in here to place an order to go while drinking across the street at WOB. The hostess was great and showed me to the bar to place my order, but then it became clear that I was going to have to wait for it, and they wouldn't bring it across the street to me (like most other businesses do for patrons at WOB) and I started to get a bit annoyed. All annoyed-ness aside the food did some out rather quickly - 2 pizzas which come in a personal size of about 11" and one fritto misto containing calamari, shrimp and mushrooms. The bartender did do a great job of chatting me up and keeping me company so at least that made the time pass by quickly as well. Once back at WOB I was slightly annoyed that they hadn't included any plastic utensils or napkins with my order. I realize this place probably doesn't do a lot of to-go orders, but they should be used to getting patrons from WOB by now...literally they are across the street and seemingly the only place in the plaza with pizza. And although I may not wholeheartedly agree, it does seem like a lot of people thing pizza + beer is heaven. So to the food. The fritto misto was pretty good, and the portion size was nice. The pizzas though weren't amazing to me. Granted my taste in pizza is a little "off" according to some lol but neither the plain cheese, or the chef's pizza with prosciutto were anything special, and the dough itself was pretty below average. Would I order from here again? Nope...I'd stick to the usual sushi spot I get take out from when at WOB! However, I must say, for dining in the place looked very nice. Clean and modern with all the wow factor perfect for this area.

My husband and I went for dinner last night and was really surprised at how good the food was. We ordered the arincini and a side Caesar salad to start, the arincini was cold in the middle but our waitress took it away and brought a new one that was piping hot and they even took the appetizer off our bill. For dinner we had their specials, Zuppe de peasce and red snapper franchaise, both were amazing and they even make their pasta from scratch. We will definitely being going back!!!

I was pleasantly surprised about this new place. On a Thursday before Valentine's Day, this place was pretty empty considering the decent crowd at the promenade. It's a nice place - very pretty interior with lots of tables and a giant bar area. Service was great and the staff was attentive. Thursdays are ladies night which meant my wine was half off (or in my book, buy one get one ;) )and that was a nice treat. The food came out pretty quickly and very hot. The garlic loaf is amazing! Their bread comes fresh out of the oven and is the best bread I've had here. I love it. We were able to hold on to some for our pasta (which came out pretty shortly after we got the bread) and dip into some of the sauce, which was a nice treat. We both ordered pasta dishes - I got the penne bolognese and my husband got the strozzapretti alla vodka. Both were very good and large portions - we had enough to bring home for a second meal. The sauces were both very flavorful and very different, as they should be. The pasta itself was cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back - it's a nice place with pretty great Italian dishes.

The Spaghetti Con Polpetti wasn't anything special but the Pappardelle Con Pollo was phenomenal. Overall it was an okay experience. Super empty on a Monday night. Might go there again eventually for the Pappardelle.

We ventured in after shopping and what a fabulous find! The hostess was so friendly and accommodating when we asked to be seated in the lounge/bar area at a giant booth. Our server Cara was extremely attentive, friendly and fun. She let us know that all of their pasta was homemade with dies imported from Italy. I had the Caprese Tower and Chicken Wings because i didn't want a full meal. Both were excellent. the chicken was succulent and juicy. I could have stood for the skin to be a little crispier, but the flavor was spot on. The tower was so wonderful-very high quality burrata, red, ripe tomatoes and a balsamic drizzle that could stand it was so thick. Other dishes ordered by our table: slider assortment. Everything was delish! The eggplant was roasted rather than breaded and friend. Meatballs-I was told as good as grandma's! Polenta sticks-yummy, gnocchi-perfection. As if we weren't having a good time already, Joe the Bartender took very good care of us. He made numerous recommendations, and we loved his concoctions with fresh cucumber and Capt. Morgan. Also, the wine selections were nice. We will definitely frequent this spot. It's hot for a reason!

Tried LaVia last night after seeing it while visiting another restaurant in the Promenade last weekend. We also got a 10% off coupon so we figured to give it a shot. It was a beautiful evening so we took a table outside. They were quite busy but there wasn't a wait. Unfortunately they seem to have some serious issues with service yet to work out. We sat at our table a solid 10 minutes before anyone came over to take our drink order. The server took our drink order but refused to write it down and, of course, got it wrong. (I don't understand what the deal is with servers expecting to be able to remember what you order - as a patron I would much prefer my order being right than worrying about them using a pad and pen). Then he brought out our correct drinks and asked if we were ready to order. We weren't and then he disappeared never to return again. We flagged down the hostess who got us another server who was MUCH better. He wrote our order down and got it right albeit taking about 45 minutes for our entree to come out. (The kitchen lost our ticket?) The hostess (who I believe was also the owner) was extremely apologetic and the server as well. We weren't really that upset as it was a beautiful evening and weren't in a rush but it was a miss for sure in the service department. The food was good. I have a couple of complaints: We ordered mozzarella en carozza which I know as mozzarella in between two slices of bread, dipped in egg and deep fried served with sauce. What we got was two triangles of fried mozzarella. And it was topped with bruschetta tomatoes. It should just be called fried mozzarella. Then I had a side order of penne in tomato sauce with their fritto misto appetizer. This was really good and I was pleasantly surprised to see the pasta was homemade. Hubby had a veal dish which was in a Marsala glaze served with risotto which he enjoyed. They brought us out a tiramisu on the house which was very delicious. A couple of other notes - apparently they have a pasta room on display where they make all of their home made pasta. Had this been noted on the menu (that all of their pasta is homemade), I probably would've ordered a pasta entree. We asked for water a couple of times before we got any. And we waited quite a while in between rounds of drinks - they certainly missed out on another round or two in revenue. All in all, the food was good and the hostesses were SO sweet as was our second server. I think if they work out their service kinks, they will be successful as the food was good and the food prices reasonable. I will be back...

My family and I have eaten here several times since they opened a couple of months ago. I have to say the food is consistently good and priced moderately. They make all the pasta they serve and it has a nice welcoming atmosphere. I would recommend give it a try very affordable price point.

I had linguini and clams and it was very good. I've tried their risotto and one of the best I've ever had. I also tried the tiramisu and very good. The service has always been good. The owner comes over to greet u and ask how everything is. I highly recommend

Sitting in La Via Ristorante after a great meal. Also our great waiter Leo. He was very attentive to our needs. My friend had the eggplant parmigiana and it was delicious. I had the special salmon dinner and it was also delicious. Service was great. And the owner kept coming over to our table to see how we were doing and telling us about things happening at the restaurant on different evenings. I will definitely return!!!!

First time eating here....won't be the last. It came recommended by a friend for the Burrata appetizer and I am so glad we took his advice to eat here. The atmosphere is wonderful. You can bring your entire family or just go for an adult date night. Best of both worlds. The owner, Faith, is very involved and friendly and goes to all tables to make sure everything is enjoyable. She wants everyone to feel like family. If you know and enjoy fresh homemade pasta, then this is your place. There's nothing like that texture. Everything we ate was delicious and carefully thought out. They also have an extensive wine list and cool bar. Finally, it's a high end restaurant at a reasonable price.

The food is great. Very nice atmosphere. Full bar, great wine list. I enjoyed this place a lot. The owner Faith was extremely nice. She walked around and chatted with all the customers. Derek the waiter did a great job. Very attentive and made the dinner enjoyable!! Well done

Great start for a new restaurant. Stopped in Grand Opening weekend and ordered a pizza. Fresh, hot and tasty. Service was a bit clunky, but it was their first day, so gave them a bit of slack. High hopes for this place and they did a good job on the renovation.

LOSES POINTS FOR TERRIBLE SERVICE. Really enjoyed the RUSTICCI CON POLLO. My boyfriend got the lasagna which tasted really salty and Chef Boyardee like. Not freshly prepared in my opinion. The Rusticci on the other hand was really tasty, omg I only wish I had a bigger portion, not because it wasn't enough but because I'm greedy as heck. The service was another story entirely, it took the greeter a few minutes to greet us, she seemed busy serving, and our server was practically MIA the entire time, the hostess had to run our credit cards. There weren't even that many people there. And can we talk about the small portion of butter they send with the bread? What is that, a portion for ANTS??? They send out an entire loaf of bread and give you a whisper of butter. I need answers what is up with the butter to bread ratio at this place?

Stopped by today for a quick bite with my four year old. Our server Isaac, was very accommodating not only to myself but also to my little one. For appetizer we had the mozzarella carozza ,two Pan fried mozzarella served with marinara sauce, it was very tasty and also had their PESTO CHICKEN pizza . They get five stars from me because the service was outstanding. Will definitely come back!

Cane on a Tuesday night 2 weeks ago, server was attentive told us of drink specials, I had a French Kiss, it was delicious n I tried the chefs pizza which would have been amazing with a glass of Cabernet. Nice atmosphere, good prices, I'll definitely come here again. I sat outside but inside looks beautiful.

Horrible Italian food...the bread wasn't even good! I never sent bread back in my life! I ordered Pasta with Bolognese sauce and my husband ordered Lasagna...flavorless! I could have cooked a better Italian Meal myself with sauce out of a jar!! So overpriced too..and such a shame because it's a great location...we have been all over the world and this is probably the worst Italian meal we have ever had..bummer too, because when it first opened it was at least edible, and seemed much more of a classy place too eat..The owner didn't come up to us like when they first opened..now it's just like production food...just being honest..and I never write reviews!! And I don't think the waiter was surprised that we didn't like the food!! The only thing keeping this place busy is the movie theater that just opened...I guess if people drink enough at BOW, any food tastes good...well, we won't being going back here ever again...and we always return to a place that has consistent food and service...this has neither...(Whoever is writing 5 stars, must be the owners friends, or doesn't have good taste in food...seriously...)

Thought the service was great; everyone was very attentive and our food and drinks came timely although we never got bread (didn't know we were supposed to until after our leftovers were boxed up). The food was slightly above average overall. The arancini and fried mozz were both bland, but not bad per se. The bolognese was tasty, but not very meaty and served over a bed of penne that was a little TOO al dente for my taste (maybe even slightly undercooked). The parpardelle con pollo was fantastic - highly recommend. We'll definitely give them another try to try other dishes, but it's not a place I would necessarily push to go to. Great wine selection, but I don't drink the stuff. Speaking of drinks: if you want a special cocktail, they DO have a menu, but you have to ask for it. They'll only furnish the wine list upon seating you.

This place is pretty cool. I like the lounge-restaurant combination. Our area needs more of that. The pizza is ok, the Italian food is impressive but not jaw dropping amazing. Marinara sauce is fresh but could use a tinge of sweetness.

Excellent authentic Italian. We had the veal Marsala and gnocchi. Veal was super thin and tender and delicious!! Gnocchi was like nonna's!! We ordered a meatball pizza to go for our mom and stole a few slices!! It was sooo awesome. So far best pizza around!! :)

The food is great but the service is terrible. We were one of two tables seated in the whole restaurant and were mostly ignored. Food took forever and arrived lukewarm. Such a shame because the quality of cuisine is top notch. I think the chef and staff need time management training.

Had dinner here the other night and the food and service was very good. They make their own pasta (you can tell the difference). We had the pasta bolognese and veal parmigiana (veal was very tender). The atmosphere is very nice and I feel that this restaurant offers a good value for everyday italian food. Prices are very reasonable.

This was a refreshingly modern Italian restaurant. Our group of fourteen went midweek to celebrate a birthday. The service was friendly - from the bartender to the chefs and wait staff. We all collectively had a great dining experience. From the handmade fresh pizzas to the salads, pastas, seafood, etc. every single one of us loved our dish! The meatball appetizer is a must. They prepare seafood perfectly. The pizzas were excellent. I definitely recommend this place.

Originally was going to the Greek Restaurant. Walked by this place and figured I'd give it a try. Was excellent. They make their own pasta. Can definitely tell the pasta is home made. Was out of this world. Had the ala vodka and veal siciliana. Both were very tasty. Very nice looking bar, although we sat in the dining room. Give this place a try. Friendly staff.

We sat here for about 30 minutes and nobody acknowledged us. They were not busy, or closed, there were several members of the staff walking around doing nothing, not one of them came over to us. We had to approach the bar and ask for menus, and then sat in plain view, and still nobody came. One member of the wait staff came to our general area, seemed to purposefully ignore our presence for several minutes while he just stood there about 10 feet away. Eventually we just got up and left, since they clearly don't want any business.

Great experience overall. Started with the arancini (rice balls) and they were excellent. My wife had the broccoli rabbe and she loved it she said it was one of the best, I had a tasted and had to agree it was really good. I had the veal parm and wow it was unbelievable it was so good I ate the whole thing and could have probably had more. We topped it all off with the Tartufo which was actually a real Tartufo. The service was excellent too. We can't wait to be back

Ehh. Had better. Nothing extraordinary about this food with such high ratings. Thought I would try pan fried mozzarella and a margarita pizza, who can mess that up... Well... All i can say is subpar. Not to mention the waitress was either new to serving or not smart. The best part of the meal was the fact it was my per diem so no loss out of my pocket but disappointing I wasted good calories on this. :( win some. lose some.

My family and I were looking for a place to eat and went into the promenade and just walked into this restaurant. At first I thought it was seafood just because the lights are blue, but luckily it was Italian! My favorite! We started with some appetizers, we had the meatball with ricotta cheese, zucchini fries and a platter with salami, olives cheese and I believe prosciutto. Of course we had some delicious bread and butter and then to our main meal! Since it was four of us we decided to just share, we got 2 pizzas, the chiefs pizza and the pesto chicken pizza. They were both delicious, but a little flavorless. The pesto chicken pizza was missing something, I added a little balsamic and made it a little better! We didn't have any dessert but I will have some next time for sure. I've never heard of this place so for a first time being there I was really happy with my meal.

Walking around the promanad looking for some post dinner drinks, saw a new place and hurried over to grab a spot on the sofa and get some wine! Waited for easily 15 mins (long enough for my entire party to make bathroom runs) and the only acknowledgement we received was from the bartender who gave us menus. We were completely ignored by the waiter who was meandering around where we were sitting! Don't plan on ever going back!

I would rate this place about 3.5 stars. I had eggplant parmesan with a friend. It was the best eggplant parmesan I ever had. It was creamy and the homemade pasta and tomato sauce was delicious. Based off that dish I would have rated the restaurant 5 stars. We did not have the best dessert experience though. We ordered the molten lava cake (has a different name) and it came out over cooked (no lava). We showed our server and he took the cakes back to the kitchen and told us he would have another made. It took quite a while for the second round of cake to come out. I would say about a half an hour. Due to the wait the dessert was compliments of the chef. After the cake came out I was not too impressed. While it was cooked properly this time, it did have a lot of flavor. Overall the service was good and the main dish was excellent. I will go back again. I just would not order the dessert again. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the food. The restaurant has a nice design and I like that all the food is authentic Italian.

Amazing food and wonderful atmosphere! I've been here several times now, sometimes with my young son and sometimes with adults only.... Each time we've had a great time. We have had two amazing experiences at La Vie. Not only is the service impeccable, but the food is magnific! Love this place-- check it out!

Amazing. I've eaten at very fine Italian restaurants throughout Italy, London, etc... The dinner my wife and I had was amazing! The pasta was homemade and salmon was fresh and extremely flavorful. The price point is extremely reasonable for the high end dishes you get. I highly recommend this place!!

Stopped by to check the place out for a possible place to plan our holiday party. Rita was very accommodating and checked on us several times. We started with the meatballs app and then tried the eggplant parm and shared the rigatoni. Eggplant is rarely done as well as this! We ended the meal with a light and delicious tiramisu. We're frequent travelers to Italy and found the food comparable to any we've tried in Umbria or Tuscany. Fresh pasta, fresh pastries, a must try. The wait staff is the only room for improvement.

The only way you wouldn't like this place is if you don't enjoy fresh food. The menu isn't that large but Whateveris on it is delish! The pizza is out of this world!! The restruant it self is beautiful very clean and modern. On the weekend's they have a dj, or live bands. I would totally recommend checking this place out weather it's to have a drink or for a nice lunch!

They make their own pasta, and it only gets better from there. This place is owned by real authentic Italians and they are extremely hospitable. The best chicken parm and lasagna around. Sauce too! Decor is very attractive and modern. We've been back several times and have enjoyed it very much each time. Definitely worth a try!

Terrible service. Waited for 15 minutes without a server acknowledging us. Finally went up to the bar to get menus, sat back down, and waited another 15 minutes. Still no server. The place was empty. The wait staff was pacing around watching tv. Got up and left.

Service was sadly deplorable! The food was mediocre. If you have a large party, then is NOT their STRONG suit ...many holes to plug up in their wait/service staff..... Many restaurants have been in this location and many more will follow this one for sure....

Great atmosphere and great service. Unfortunately the food doesn't meet the standards of the presentation and service. The Misto appetizer was good but for an Italian restaurant there wasn't much Italian there. No garlic or olive oil for the bread or appetizer. It did have a nice light batter. The veal piccata was good but the portions small with a mound of risotto that was the worse I had ever tasted. It had poor presentation poor taste and terrible consistency. The eggplant parm had a nice stack presentation. It was extremely overlooked where you could not taste the eggplant and instead you tasted mozzarella and sauce. It was like eating mashed potatoes. The sad part is that I offered my feedback and we were told 'everyone' says that. The promenade does not have great restaurants and here is this one with a great location that has the opportunity to blow it out of the water but will not do so without some changes. Nothing Italian here. Great service.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Dinner was great! I definitely recommend this to anyone. Great place to support local business.

(5)Lauren B.
I had linguini and clams and it was very good. I've tried their risotto and one of the best I've ever had. I also tried the tiramisu and very good. The service has always been good. The owner comes over to greet u and ask how everything is. I highly recommend

Do not eat here the food has no taste and the service is even worse! I do not recommend eating here!

(5)John T.

Amazing food, and fresh shrimp... The staff is so friendly and fast, I am in love with this resturant, this is a must go
(5)Vicki S.
(1)Jay R.
(3)Charles J.
This place is pretty cool. I like the lounge-restaurant combination. Our area needs more of that. The pizza is ok, the Italian food is impressive but not jaw dropping amazing. Marinara sauce is fresh but could use a tinge of sweetness.
(4)Sandi M.
(5)Chris R.
The food is great but the service is terrible. We were one of two tables seated in the whole restaurant and were mostly ignored. Food took forever and arrived lukewarm. Such a shame because the quality of cuisine is top notch. I think the chef and staff need time management training.
(2)Bob S.
(3)Sharon P.
(4)Marti B.
Went there Saturday night for first time. Absolutely delicious! The garlic loaf was unbelievable good. I had pasta and husband clams and both were amazing! the owners were very sweet people. Great conversation. all the pasta is homemade too. we will be back!! Marti & David Brown
(5)Kevin S.
Excellent food. Reasonable prices! Chefs pizza great! Service very good fast and attentive.
(5)Stephen C.
(5)Matt S.

This place was horrible the food was not great no flavor. I would not recommend this place for anyone to eat.

We can't wait to be back
(5)Ashley N.
Ehh.

The food is delicious and has a great presentation and the lounge area is super fun! I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice time and great food.

We have had two amazing experiences at La Vie. Not only is the service impeccable, but the food is magnific! From tasty pizzas, to rich Italian pastas, to the vast wine selection, we have had nothing but great, savory tastes. They even made special arrangements for our daughter. Love this place-- check it out!
(5)Duane C.
Came in for lunch had meatball pizza. I have to say it was VERY GOOD. I will be back
(4)John M.
Amazing. I've eaten at very fine Italian restaurants throughout Italy, London, etc... The dinner my wife and I had was amazing! The pasta was homemade and salmon was fresh and extremely flavorful. The price point is extremely reasonable for the high end dishes you get. I highly recommend this place!!
(5)Debra R.
(4)Nadine C.
A great new Italian restaurant in Coconut Creek. The food is great, fresh pasta made in house and authentic pizza. Love the decor and the staff is very friendly
(5)Beth M.
(5)Steve R.
Stopped in for dinner after shopping was pleasantly surprised how good everything was our server David was very attentive everything we ate was top notch will definitely be back with the whole family Bravo
(5)Dan C.
(5)Robert V.
Terrible service. Waited for 15 minutes without a server acknowledging us. Finally went up to the bar to get menus, sat back down, and waited another 15 minutes. Still no server. The place was empty. The wait staff was pacing around watching tv. Got up and left.
(1)Tom J.
Really good food. The good look and the fresh food were a hit with our group. We will return an recommend this restaurant to everyone who enjoys good food at reasonable prices.
(4)Gloria M.
Great local restaurant with very reasonable prices. Lunch and dinner menu offer most typical Italian dishes, but also several vegetarian dishes, paninis and more. Eggplant parmesan was delicious, and pizza was very good. Great service. Give it a try.
(4)Carolina T.
We had a great time! The staff is super attentive and the food was delicious. Definitely coming back. Even my picky eater loved the fuzzily with meatballs.
(4)Tricia L.
Service was sadly deplorable! The food was mediocre. If you have a large party, then is NOT their STRONG suit ...many holes to plug up in their wait/service staff..... Many restaurants have been in this location and many more will follow this one for sure....
(1)L J.
My boyfriend and i tried La Via for the first time last night. Everything was perfectly delicious. They totally nailed one of my favorite dishes - Chicken Marsala, and the staff was friendly and attentive! So happy to have them in the neighborhood!
(5)Ela L.
(3)Chrs M.
Amazing authentic FRESH Italian with an amazing wine selection. The staff there is first class and the restaurant itself is gorgeous.
